Resurfacing instead of replacing
Removing and replacing a slab means demolition, haul-off, disposal and a new pour that then has to cure before you can use it. Resurfacing keeps the existing concrete in the ground and replaces only the surface you actually see and walk on. It costs less, it is finished sooner, and it does not put a sound slab into a landfill. The one condition is that the concrete underneath has to be structurally sound, and that is the first thing we check.

Questions we get from Dacula homeowners
Do you have to tear out my Dacula driveway to fix how it looks?
In most cases, no. If the slab underneath is structurally sound, we resurface the top rather than remove and replace it. That keeps the cost down, avoids the disposal of the old concrete, and takes a fraction of the time. We will tell you honestly if a slab is too far gone to be worth coating.
My Dacula driveway is about twenty five years old and looks grey and blotchy. Is that a structural problem?
Usually not. That is surface wear and staining rather than slab failure, and it is exactly the situation resurfacing is for. Pressure washing lifts dirt but cannot restore a surface that has lost its finish.
Will this satisfy an HOA?
