Stardek® Care Instructions
Congratulations! You can look forward to years of beauty and convenience with your new Stardek® surface.
Clean regularly with a garden hose or pressure washer. Occasionally use a detergent such as Simple Green or Zep Purple Industrial Cleaner Degreaser.
Do not use solvents or Pine-Sol.
Regular oil and grease should not harm the surface and can be wiped up with a paper towel.
Tar can be removed easily with kerosene only.
Battery acid should be kept off the coating.
Gasoline can discolor the surface, so avoid overfilling the tank. If a spill does occur, rinse immediately with water and dab (do not rub) with a clean towel.
Transmission fluid should not be left on the surface for more than a few hours. Wipe it up with a clean towel.
Rust can be removed with CLR (Calcium, Lime & Rust Remover), available at your local hardware store.
Tire skid marks require professional touch-up by your Stardek® installer. This can be done for a small fee.
Fertilizer and insecticide: some products can damage the coating. If rust or discoloration develops, call your installer for professional removal or touch-up.
We recommend resealing your Stardek® surface every 5 to 8 years to maintain its luster.
